The Lions topped the South African convention standings in Super Rugby for a 3rd consecutive season by coming from behind the Bulls 38-12 on Saturday.

The victory additionally lifted them above Waratahs to second within the mixed standings, which secured a house quarter-final and, probably, a semi-final in Johannesburg as effectively.

The Waratahs started the day second, behind runaway league leaders and defending champions Crusaders, solely to lose an Australian derby 40-31 in opposition to visiting Brumbies.
