The Nigerian military reportedly suffered casualties in an ambush by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno state on Friday.
Ahmad Salkida, a journalist recognized to have entry to the management of the sect, mentioned “many” had been killed, injured or lacking within the assault.
Writing through his Twitter deal with on Saturday, Salkida mentioned the troopers had been ambushed whereas making an attempt to launch an assault on the insurgents in Bulagallaye, a neighborhood in Bama native authorities space of Borno.
He quoted navy sources as saying solely three of the sixteen navy autos had been recovered as of Saturday.
Salkida wrote: “Military sources mentioned troopers and vigilantes launched a daring assault on Boko Haram in Bulagallaye, in Bama, Borno yesterday night, however the safety forces had been ambushed, shut to focus on.
“Only three out of the 16 military vehicles in the operation have been recovered today. Scores were either killed, injured or missing in the operation, in Bama local government area.”
