Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates ‘true champions’ India on winning Blind Cricket World Cup
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday prolonged his needs to the champions India on retaining their Blind Cricket World Cup title after defeating rivals Pakistan by two wickets.
India had been requested to chase a goal of 308 of their allotted 50 overs in Sharjah and obtained there with eight balls to spare. It is India’s second consecutive title, having crushed Pakistan to carry the trophy in 2014.
Modi took the occassion to congratulate the group and mentioned, “Congratulations to our cricket team for winning the 2018 Blind Cricket World Cup! They make the nation proud and inspire every Indian with their game as well as phenomenal attitude. True champions!”

India had earlier crushed Pakistan on January 13 of their group stage assembly. En path to the ultimate, India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets within the semi-final whereas Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 156 runs.
